Mr. Barker is an Atlanta native. He earned his bachelors degree from the University of West Georgia and juris doctorate from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School. Mr. Barker obtained valuable experience through legal and compliance related positions, in both the public and private sector, before attending law school.
While in law school, Mr. Barker interned for a small boutique law firm in Gwinnett County where he assisted with personal injury and contractual litigation cases. Prior to becoming the principal and managing attorney of BLG, he worked with a top mass tort, Atlanta law firm, on multi-million dollar MDL cases--the Wright Medical Hip and NFL concussion settlements.
Mr. Barker has a passion for serving the community, especially at-risk youth. He's coached youth sports for almost twenty years and sat on the board of directors for nonprofit 501c3 youth organizations. He successfully hosted an annual food drive in honor of the Hosea Helps Foundation for several years and occasionally volunteers for other organizations as well. He also serves as Judge Pro Tem for the Municipal Court of Norcross. During his spare time, he enjoys supporting Atlanta's sports teams, spending quality time with his family, and visiting historic sites throughout Georgia.
